Volunteers

Are Needed By

Refugee and Immigration Services

Since funding for our programs is limited, we depend heavily upon volunteers to do much of our important work in the Richmond Metro, Hampton Roads, and Roanoke Valley, areas of Virginia.

Refugee and Immigration Services is highly dependant on volunteers who tutor English and academic subjects, set up housing, provide transportation, mentor, and act as interpreters. Volunteers put a human face on America and help the newcomer to connect with their Virginian community.

Volunteer Opportunities

Are Available At
Refugee and Immigration Services

Refugees and immigrants will be some of the most interesting friends you can meet. Their stories inspire us to achieve our goals and help put our lives into perspective with respect to the community. Don't miss this opportunity to explore the world from your own town, to do something fun for others, to care and to teach your children to care. Your life can be enriched by their experience, as you help them in their journey from fear and overcoming isolation to a world of English, work, new friends, and safety. To see them progress, makes it all worth it!
