Interpreters


The Community Interpreter Training Program follows the Northern Virginia Area Health Education Curriculum (AHEC).

It is an intensive, interactive, forty-hour course. Designed for bilingual individuals seeking to enhance interpreting skills for employability, job retention or career change.

The course covers: code of ethics, interpreting modes and techniques, cultural competence, medical and community terminology, memory development and professional conduct. And, is taught in English for multi-lingual groups.
